GNU Chess is a program with which you can practice chess against the artificial intelligence of the computer. The machine has several levels of difficulty for you to choose an opponent at your height.
The board is placed in front of you with the same perspective that you would have if you were playing with a real board sitting at a table, although if you prefer you can switch to a zenithal view, more common of this type of board games on the computer.
You will be able to change the style and color of both the board and the chips and save the games to study them later. You can also place the chips in the position you want and try different moves. It's an ideal game to practice before facing real opponents.
